Dolly Parton will be visiting the Great Smoky Mountains on May 2, 2014 to be the Grand Marshall in her annual parade! The Pigeon Forge Dolly Parade will begin around 6 p.m. at traffic light #7, and will continue through to traffic light #3, ending around 8 p.m.

The parade will feature a variety of handmade parade floats as well as energetic dancers, local celebrities, live horses, entertainers and of course, Dolly Parton.

Helpful Tips for Parade Attendees

  • Over 50,000 people attend the parade, so it’s best to claim your spot a little early. You can get something to eat at one of the many restaurants in the area, then walk over to the parade area, so you can guarantee an up-close look at Dolly.
  • We recommend staying at the River Edge Motor Lodge hotel in Gatlinburg, so you’ll only be a few minutes from all of the parade excitement. You’ll also be able to retreat back to the hotel without any traffic delays once it’s over.
  • While you’re in town, you may also spot Dolly at her well-known attraction, Dollywood. She tends to spend time at the theme park when she visits!
