Nothing sticks to your ribs like a big bowl of beans and cornbread. This classic Smoky Mountain dish is finally getting the recognition it deserves with its very own food festival in Gatlinburg! Coming to the Smokies this spring, the Beans ‘n Cornbread Blast will feature music, games, and endless bowls of everyone’s favorite Southern meal.

Where and When
The Gatlinburg Beans ‘n Cornbread Blast will take place on Thursday May 8 in downtown Gatlinburg, just minutes away from our Smoky Mountain hotel. The festivities will kick off at 1 p.m. and last until 8 p.m.
Beans, Bluegrass, and Beanbags
The highlight of the Beans ‘n Cornbread Blast is, of course, the food! Local vendors will be serving up heaping helpings of the event’s signature dish throughout the day. As a guest at the festival, you are are also an official judge! So be sure to cast your vote for the recipe that made you come back for more.
As you sample the best beans in the Smokies, you will enjoy some excellent music. A local bluegrass bland will keep up the energy with some catchy Appalachian tunes.
After you’ve had your fill, you can move from beans to beanbags with the festival’s Corn Hole Tournament. This friendly competition is your chance to win big while supporting the local Humane Society.
