Facebook recently compiled a top ten list of popular U.S. honeymoon spots and Gatlinburg was named one of the country’s most popular destinations! The data was collected by tracking couples who married in 2014 and determining where they checked in away from their home. Facebook processed data from more than one billion monthly active users and shared their results online.

Gatlinburg was named the eighth most popular honeymoon destination in the U.S. by Facebook, surpassed only by Las Vegas, Key West, and five of the Hawaiian islands. Our beloved Smoky Mountain city beat out the likes of New York City and Lake Buena Vista, Florida as a top honeymoon spot!
